As program manager of honours I sometimes exercise executive privilege about using our rooms. This i sone of those moments. The group is informal, last year had a mix of staff, PhD and honours students. If you’re at all interested in nonlinear/interactive non-fiction that uses sound or video, might be a good place to get feedback, make contacts, and so on.
The Korsakow interest Group (aka Kig) is on again for 2014. First Monday of the month, beginning April, from 5pm, in 9.2.6 (honours lab). While we tend to look and use Korsakow (an open source platform for making interactive documentary) we are broadly interested in interactive/online nonfiction that uses time based media.
What generally happens is that work in progress is shown, new works, or we have debates about a key idea. For 2014 it would be good to perhaps do some reading together, some of us have already proposed a panel for ASPERA later this year, and so on. Think collegiate strategising.
All welcome, get in touch if you’d like to know more 🙂
