Abstract: With Web 2.0 increasingly growing in importance as an influential medium, Australian public relations practice has to adapt to stay up to date with these new technologies. As social media grows in prevalence, industry expectations of public relations graduates are also changing. Understanding what is expected of public relations graduates will, not only increase their chances of employment, but also lead to better overall public relations campaigns.
In addressing this issue I will develop a thesis based around industry expectations of Australian public relations graduates’ Web 2.0 capabilities.
