Research: Re-Inventing Journalism
Abstract: Many media companies were created in the age of print journalism and have found that in the transition to digital they have clung to aspects of the past. It is argued that as a result of this process, many companies fail to think about the best journalistic practice in the 21st century and are ignoring (major) innovation as a means of survival. I propose to re-invent journalism; as if it were to be invented for the first time in 2010. This will open new avenues for journalism to expand and grow as an industry.
